She’s also had some deeper layers cut, and had some clean up on her bangs for a very soft, layered look that looks great on her. This color I think is one of my favorites on Hilary, and combined with the cut, it looks even better. Face framing layers are a cut that will simply never go out of style, just ask Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn. Today’s contemporary layered cuts are done with a little more depth and chunkier layers so that you can spend less time maintaining them. For a look like this, some pomade and a flat iron are really all you need. But step out of the box a bit and use your flat iron for curling instead of just straightening. You can use your flat iron to turn your ends under just like Hilary, and here you have a look that is still sleek and straight, but with just enough softness and movement around the face.
This formal style on Hilary Duff, has flat ‘against the scalp’ sides, ascending to the top with ‘backbrushing” utilized for height. The top picture would cause us to think she had a French twist or similar updo, however, this bottom photo reveals some of her long length falling freely, which makes it appear to have an asymmetrical, inverted ponytail.

With mere bends remaining to be viewed here, her all over design took on some large vertical curls that were mainly loose though a few tiny, twisted tendrils could be found here and there.

Now, as an apparent defiance to be an individual, Haylie has taken on a honey blonde shade, leaving her sister to wear the coal, black look alone.
